My husband, our two children, and I had our dream Africa experience with Calabash Adventures, and it was truly unforgettable. In Katavi, the river teemed with hippos, while elephants, buffaloes, and countless birds amazed our children at every turn. The highlight was the iconic chimpanzee trekking in Mahale Mountains National Park, where we met the playful Kikuyu family, a group of chimps swinging through the forest and caring for their young—it was an emotional and unforgettable experience for all of us. Along Lake Tanganyika, we visited fishing villages and soaked in the local culture, enjoying the tranquility and natural beauty of the area.
