Lake Burunge Tented Camp, Tarangire Camps, Lodges inside Tarangire, Camps, Hotels, Tarangire National Park

Lake Burunge Tented Camp is an excellent tented lodge overlooking Lake Burunge which borders Tarangire National Park. The tented Camp features 20 Luxury Tents and 10 Lodge Rooms located in a shady bush land grove, with spectacular views onto Lake Burunge. The rooms are spacious rooms with solar panels to heat water and provide lights. With each room having a private veranda and en-suite bathrooms with built in showers, the beds in each are large.

Below the outdoor terrace has a number of small concrete ponds attracts a large variety of birds as well as mongoose. With your guide you can go on bird watching for a couple of hours enjoying the coming and goings of sunbirds, canaries, doves, a kingfisher and many more.

After dinner the security people took you to your room--sometimes a Masai with his spear or a person with a little bow and arrow. The nights were filled with animal sounds and it was great to awake in the morning to a number of birds singing and calling in the trees outside your room.

Excellent access from the lodge to Tarangire National Park and the hundred of animals we saw on
game drives in the park.
